Meaning of Kwadroke of “The Wired”

… and where it came from

I needed a new name for the game Everquest . I wanted something that would fit the game. The other names I used before, other people were using; “Cybertyger” & “Swedishchef“. Another name I used was too long and did not fit: “Subatomic Mayhem“. Besides I wanted something unique.
The first thing that came to mind is “Quad” as in “Quad-Damage ” from Quake 3 Arena . So I changed the spelling a bit to “Kwad”. I then needed something to end it with cause Quad had nothing to do with Everquest. For some reason “roke” came to mind. Still not sure where that came from. I googled for “kwadroke” in google and a few other search engines and found nothing. I added “of ‘The Wired’” later after seeing Serial Experiments Lain , as “the Wired ” referred to the Internet. I was kinda going for the old English names, such as “Robin of Locksley “.
I looked up “roke” in the dictionary, it means fog or mist. So actually my name means the “Four Fogs” or the “Four Fogs of the Internet”

So that’s where Kwadroke of “The Wired” came from.
